Why I love self portraits

Oliver, see? This is how Mommy looked just a couple of hours after you were born.

NOT like this.

Seriously though, most of you know that I used to practice my "picture pose" in the mirror. I still practice it, but with my camera. Some call it vain, I call it smart.

Looks like you weren't the only one practicing your picture pose! Love the hand under the chin!

Oops! Nevermind...clicked on the pic and saw it up close; it's a finger on (not IN, thankfully)the nose!

Hey I TOTALLY know what you mean! I think I even confessed on my blog to taking A LOT of self portraits. It's true though. I know how to hold my chin (so I don't get a double one) & I know how to angle my head.

I'm with you- it's NOT vain, it's SMART!

So true, Katie. Wish I had skills like that--but maybe it's not in the genes, like they say. All I need is a little practice!

My pics are always terrible. No matter how much I practice. And I always try to compensate for the double chin by lifting my chin too much. I just can't win! But it is a very good after the baby pic! I for once had a really good after the baby pic with Jovie. It is one of my favs.

Olivia - I totally remember that post, and I thought, "That's ME." Also, the double chin is my worst enemy. I always have one in candid shots.

Audra - I remember that picture with you and Jovie.
