You know you are in North Carolina when.....

Your dinner in the hospital automatically comes with Sweet Tea!
(and breakfast comes with grits)

Man oh man, I love me some hospital meals. I don't know why people always complain about hospital food!

you could be in Mississippi! grits are a given for breakfast and Ray has got the kids hooked on them too.

I think that's just about everywhere in the South. They gave it to Christie even though she filled out the menu sheet and specifically told them not to give it to her.

Wow! Looks like it more common than I realized. The only other place I have been in the hospital is in Utah...

I liked my hospital food in Provo. With the hospital when Gabe was born it wasn't bad, but this time it wasn't that great. But they did give me a basket of snacks that was really good and I ate the whole thing throughout the night, in addition to my dinner and almost a whole pizza. I am SO hungry during the first 24 hrs after birth.

Yeah, during my surgery... the whole 5 days, grits every morning. But, boy were their biscuits in the morning yummy. I would put my eggs on then and sausage and I swear it was better than McDonalds. And the ladies at the hospital kept wondering why I did not drink my tea. They would give me options and I would say water and they would still bring me tea... and yep, like Christie ALL MEALS! I do love hospital food... too bad I was too sick to enjoy it!
