Seriously So Spoiled

It is nine o'clock at night and the downstairs is in perfect order, with a couple of candles lit.

And where is the man responsible for all of this?

Upstairs cuddling the baby back to sleep.
Phsst - This is what the house looks like almost every night, thanks to him (ask Roy). How did I get so lucky?

I really am something aren't I. JK - I wouldnt be much of a person if I didn't take a second to thank my Roomba. Sure, like any committed relationship, we've had our ups and downs, but when its crunch time, he's there. Whenever Gabe decides to spill a can of Pringles on the ground and then walk all over them, or Colin tracks half of our backyard into the living room - Roomba is there.
In all seriousness sometimes I think I'm a tad OCD about going to bed and things being on the ground - purely selfish reasons for doing it.

Roy,
I just thought that story was funny about how you walked downstairs, Chad was on the couch, and the roomba was running, the lights were low, and some candles were lit...

Wait, was that LAST night?

I've just been giving him a hard time lately about never cleaning up, and used Chad as an example. But yeah, every night he'd be like "Is Chad planning something special with all these candles?" :)

Truth be told, my weirdness with the candle stems from my paranoia around how my house smells. I don't like walking into peoples houses and getting this blast of weird smells coming at me. You all know what I am talking about - Sometimes its a funk othertimes its dinner that engulfs the whole house for a day or 2. The worst part is people are completely oblivious to it because they are used to the funk. I worry that my house might be like that, but how would I know? Maybe I'm just used to it - the candles are my safety net in case an odor exists.

To clarify I am not referring to anyone specifically that my read this periodical, just houses in general.

Oh, darn, I was trying to make myself feel better by thinking he musted have skipped General Priesthood meeting.
Hmmm, maybe this post is the reason James did laundry yesterday?!

What brand of candles do you recommend Chad? Since we got Violette our house always has a certain smell to it.

Sure Chad... not referring to anyone... my house always has a funk! Too many funky kids! I do need to light my candles more. I need to buy more too, but my coupons always expire before I get to the mall for Yankee candles. Gotta have the good stuff. I hate the smell of a funky house with the smell of a cheap candle over it. Like stinky cars that you pass by that have also had so many tree air fesheners that you wonder how the drivers go in there without getting a total headache.

Off the subject. Anyway, yeah, my house is never clean like that. The kids cleaned up the living room yesterday and by bed time it was riddled with stuff again.

If I had my choice, I would go Yankee everytime, but they are pricey. The thing about Yankee Candles though is that they last forever. If you go with a mild odor, like Cotton or Vanilla, you won't kill the whole house. I do not trust a single candle at Walmart, and I am having serious issues with all Target candles too. My suggestion is to save up your pennies and buy Yankee. You can now get them at Kohls and a few other places and they are typically cheaper.

What about Glade or other brands like that?
