Done!

Gabriel Robert finished his last reading lesson. Hurray! He complained and said, "But I still don't know how to read!"

I handed him a children's book and asked him to read it. He did, stopping to ask for help only a few times. I said, "Gabe you can read."

"Not ALL words!" he replied.

I told him that even I was still working on that and gave him a congratulatory hug. Now he gets to have some sort of celebration party, but he hasn't made up his mind yet. Today he suggested a "WipeOut" party. Hmmm, we will have to see about that.

So exciting!!! They have a 'Wipeout' Wii game that looks pretty cool. Haven't tried it yet but may be the easiest option for a 'Wipeout' party!

Nolan makes good wipeout courses with pillows and chairs and books, and whatever you have to stand on. I could help. We could plan a really fun/hilaious wipeout part where the kids have to jump 5 times on the trampoline while we squirt water guns at them, jump across the "big balls" (aka pillows) shimmy up the ladder to the plaything while we hose them down and then end up at a mudpuddle at the bottom. It could be arranged. Ha.

... and we do make a pretty good big slide and we could even put bubbles at the bottom.

Hooray, and he isn't even going into Kindergarten yet. Want to come teach Kaden?

Olivia, the program is Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. It is the open market version of the DISTAR program used in schools.
