What I am up to today

Attempting potty training with a cute little three year old.

Making a super secret project for my almost six year old.

Getting my six month old used to sleeping in a crib (yes, a crib!)

Oh my heck! You bought a crib?! Wish you lived closer so your 3 year old and my 2 year old could get in a pissing contest ;)

Whoa! A crib? are you pregnant or something? :) Mayan asks to pee in the potty all the time, but I know she is not ready (and more importantly I am not ready :) ) I am excited to see what project you are doing for Gabe.

It's Bobby and Sabina's crib - we are borrowing it to see if Carina would like it because I kinda got the feeling she might....and so far, she does as long as we play her her song to go to sleep. She fussed at first, but as soon as I figured that out it was golden. I seriously just lay her in the crib, turn her song on (on repeat), put the binky in, and walk away. It worked for both naps and bedtime -even when she woke up and I nursed her tonight, I put her back in and did it again and she is still asleep in there.

If she had been my first child I would have thought that people who have kids that aren't this easy were doing something wrong. As it is, she throws me for a loop a little - and I have to remind myself to take advantage of how easy-going she can be! Chad is a little scared about having her away from us, which I think is so sweet and cracks me up because whenever people find out we co-sleep they say things like "How does CHAD feel about that?"

Potty training is going slowly, but I know that it is in part my fault because I am not giving it my full attention like I did with the other two.

Finished the project tonight (hence the late night comment)and I think it is one of my best projects EVER!

Oh, and the crib isn't even in our room - it looks like the guest room might become Carina's room a lot sooner than we expected!

Carina has always been the type of baby that just wants to be left alone to sleep - right? Like, she didn't like to be nursed to sleep? And I'm amazed that it's not even in your room - that's awesome! You've done your share of nighttime duties - you deserve an easy-going sleeper!

I tried to leave a comment looks like it disappeared.

Basically it said: Yay! For potty and crib training.

And are those wands? Whatever they are I'm sure it will ROCK!

I have a feeling Leslie will be the same way when she is a bit older. She doesn't like to nurse to sleep and often falls asleep in her swing. Speaking of which I need to talk to you about who has what I can borrow in Charlotte.. carseats, a swing etc...
