Presenting Oliver Charles Coleman

Both Baby and Katie are heatlty and happy resting at the hospital right now and I'm sure more pics will follow accompanied with more detail than you would ever want to know. Katie was omitted to the hospital at 11:30 this morning to be induced and at 12:10 the Dr. broke her water. At around 1:15 the Potosin started. After laboring for about 2 hours, Katie ended up with an epideral at around 3:20 and baby Oliver entered the world at 3:38. Katie did such a great job and I am so proud of the way she handled herself. She actually feels much better than she did post-Gabe and Colin so if all goes well we can have her back tomorrow night. Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers and more pictures and details I'm sure are on the way! Sorry for the atrocious formatting - I can run and build SQL code or build you some Macros in Excel, just don't ask me to align pictures in Blogger...:)

I am on pain pills and my last post had so many inaccuracies that I needed to re-post. I wanted to add:

Ruby is so excited you had a baby. She LOVES babies! But when she found out it was a boy she looked dissapointed and then insisted I needed to have a baby! A GIR-A-L baby! I told her Callie and Jovie were my last babies... to which she laid claim on Callie as her baby and was happy with that. But she thought it was funny that I actually gave birth to Nolan, Lettie, and Jovie. So, she may have to hold the Oliver and get it out of her system... when her cough clears up! She could even probably show you how to strap him on your back.

LOL - thats hilarious Audra. He really is a total sweet pea. The whole time I was there with the boys he was snoozing away. I talked to Katie at about 10 last night and it seemed like it was more of the same. Katie had some gossip about a snooty nurse, but thats it.

Oh, BTW our net was out yesterday from 4:30 until 10:00, so I feel like I was the last person to see his picture...and where was Gabe? Is he OK with his little brother?

Awwwww! Glad to hear it went well even though Katie was "omitted" to the hospital ;)
Did the epi even have time to kick in? I know that pitocin is no fun! But then again, I was laboring on it for about 12 hours with Elizabeth before I got the epi.
Can't wait for all the details that I DO want to know.
Thanks for the update, Chad!

Oh, and is the hospital within the Charlotte city limits? I know y'all are right there at the border, so I want be sure before I put him into PAF.

Chad said...

The sad thing Christie is that even after I saw your "omitted" comment, I still thought it was right. It took me about a minute to realize "admitted" would have been the optimal choice...:).

"Omitted" has more character. Because this is Oliver. Alliteration is cool!

And is he has a temper you can call him Pepper Spray because he is OC.

Okay, so I'm reviewing videos in the Security unit right now and I'm in that mindset :P

Congrats on boy#3! 3 boys worked for my family! Now they can really tag team together!
